Here's Your Keys
The Story of Life Begins at Home
Keys don’t look like much do they? No, not really. But what they represent is why I love handing them over.
Most of the time it’s to a first-time buyer who trusted me to guide them through the journey of becoming a homeowner. It’s an important Chapter in the Book of Life and I get to be a small part of that story.
Sometimes it’s a couple looking to upgrade to a larger home because they have outgrown their home by growing their family.
Sometimes it’s a couple looking for a safe place to bring home their firstborn and raise them as them become part of our future.
Some people want a place to host holidays in, entertain friends in, and some even decide to have their wedding in their backyard. I am honored when I get to be a part of any of these celebrations.
Some want a yard so they can have a dog or lots of dogs or be able to foster rescues.
Some boyfriends drop down on one knee in their dining room and ask their girlfriends to marry them (this was me).
Some plant trees in honor of the children they raised in the home, spend years watching them grow and shed tears when it’s time to move away and leave them behind.
Some want a quiet place in the hills surrounded by nature so that they can heal from the unfair things life has thrown their way like getting cancer.
Some want a quiet place to retire to and have their grandchildren come to visit them as they prepare for their final chapter.
Although keys don’t look like much they represent everything that happens behind the door they unlock.
All of these represent someone who entered my life, trusted in me and allowed me to be a part of the process of finding the place that is the foundation of their life, HOME.

I can’t wait until you can give Dean and I our keys! Sending you love and goodwill, dear woman.
